Can I add to this that I would also like to be able to
find the expiration date in an installed POVray.
The only way to find the expiration day for me used to
be to reinstall and find the info somewhere in the second
or so window. I may have missed the right menu, but anyway
it is not where I expected it (either in the help of the
about) With the new weekly updates I can remember
it though :)

Another strange observation is that I just tried to install
RC2 on a win2000 machine (900 MHz celeron) (POV was already
running on two 98 machines and I needed another one :)
It did not work because it was already expired (?). date on
my machine was 24 april 2000. After shutting down and
rebooting it worked so I am happy now, just somewhat
surprised.
